Spring/Summer Vs. Autumn/Winter Foundations;

Hey all! Today I thought I'd show you my top Spring/Summer, and Autumn/Winter foundations.

Let's start with the current season - winter - I'll put both the higher end product, and also the high street version of the product so it covers all the price ranges.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation - £28

I'm currently in the shade B10 - it's the lightest shade in their wide vary of colours for each undertone. It's perfect for winter in my opinion as it brightens up dull skin and gives you a lovely glow in the winter months. You can get this is BR (Beige rose - pink undertone) B (Neutral undertone) and BD (Yellow undertone). This wide vary makes it a lot easier to find a colour that is perfect for your skin.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - £8.99 (Currently as £5.99 at Boots)

This I think is the perfect dupe for the YSL foundation. They don't have nearly as impressive colour range as YSL. The shade I have is slightly too dark for me, as the lightest shade isn't pale enough for my skin. If I do use this in summer, I will use this if my shade colour is a bit darker than YSL. Other than the colouring, this is a perfect dupe for YSL for a fraction of the price. The coverage is the same - light, but buildable to medium coverage.

Now it's time for the Spring/Summer foundation of choice.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua - £32

This is a lovely foundation for summer. It leaves a dewy finish buy not overly so that the sun makes you look shiny. I'm in the shade B10 - which is slightly too dark for me right now as I don't have much of a tan - in summer it's the perfect shade for me. It's so light weight and makes me feel so refreshed. It's lovey when you put on make up and it makes you feel refreshed like this foundation does. They have a good colour range. The price is a little over the top, but I'd buy it again and again because of how it makes me look and feel.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and Serum - £9.99

I love both the foundation and the serum - though I pick the serum over the two. I have these in both 51 and 52 - 51 is the lightest shade, and is a perfect colour match for my skin in winter, and 52 is perfect for in summer. They have more coverage than the Chanel foundation, but apart from that they are pretty much the same in the way they feel light weight and like you aren't wearing anything. They are buildable and
you can get whatever coverage you want. I don't use this as much as the Chanel one in summer as they don' have SPF - so if I know I won't be in the sun for too long, maybe a pop to the shops I'll go for this foundation.
